What do you say to encourage, motivate, and inspire a group of young girls that education is worth their time, effort, and focus?
This was my task this weekend at the Strength-Grit-Courage & Wisdom Girls
Summit sponsored by Role Model Magazine. There were approximately 50 girls ages 9-15 that came together to exercise, learn, laugh, reflect and of-course eat (healthy). Women came from all corners of the state to share their experiences on business, education, entrepreneurship, and life.
What was my message? I left the girls with three points:
- 1. Have a Success Mindset : To obtain an education is a very valuable asset; once you acquire it no one can take it away. School is your job; give it 110%.
- 2. Have Career Conversations: Most adults would love to share their career path with youngsters. Make every adult interaction count!
- 3. Build Your Brand: What do you want your name to represent? Start today by creating a brand that matters… be trustworthy, of good character, smart, hardworking, courageous; these are all great qualities to have as your brand.
- The girls left inspired and ready to move forward on their journey. I left feeling excited and blessed to share a piece of their journey with them.
